Jayne M. Kurzman is a graduate of Vassar College (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and the Harvard Law School. She is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a past Chair of the Committee on Taxation of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, and a past Co-Chair of its Trusts and Estates Special Committee on AIDS and the Law. She currently serves on the Professional Advisory Committees of The Rockefeller University (Vice Chairman), The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the New York Public Library, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Central Park Conservancy. She is a former Trustee of Vassar College, and she currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Endowment for Democracy.

A lifelong resident of New York City, she enjoys all that the City has to offer, but still loves to travel and to visit her home in the Berkshire Mountains. She is the mother of two grown children.
