Jayne M. Kurzman is a graduate of Vassar College (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and the Harvard Law School. She is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a past Chair of the Committee on Taxation of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, and a past Co-Chair of its Trusts and Estates Special Committee on AIDS and the Law. She currently serves on the Professional Advisory Committees of The Rockefeller University (Vice Chairman), and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. She is a former Trustee of Vassar College, and she has served on the Board of Directors of the National Endowment for Democracy and is currently the President of The Hurford Foundation.

A lifelong resident of New York City, she enjoys all that the City has to offer, but still loves to travel and to visit her home in the Berkshire Mountains. She has two grown children and one small grandchild.
